Step-by-step guides for setting up, using and caring for your NongNorn products.
Every NongNorn bed is filled edge to edge with a bolster rim all around, so your pet can burrow in and feel safe. Unbox it and fluff the filling back into shape before the first use — it travels folded, and the fibre takes a day or two to come back to full loft. Put it where your pet already chooses to sleep: the corner they gravitate to, or beside where you usually sit. A bed in a familiar spot is accepted far faster than one in a brand-new place.
The easiest way to measure is to wait until your pet is stretched out, then measure from nose to base of tail and add 15–20 cm so they can turn without their legs hanging off. NongNorn sizes (centimetres) S — 60×40 — small and toy breeds — 1–4 kg M — 80×50 — small to medium — 4–8 kg L — 100×60 — medium breeds, long bodies and tall legs — 7–20 kg XL — 120×70 — medium to large — 20–35 kg XXL — 150×90 — large to giant, or three or four small pets together — 30–70 kg For very small companions — puppies, kittens, rabbits, sugar gliders, meerkats, rats — there is a separate mini bed.
The Original bed comes apart completely — five hidden zips run around it. Take the filling out first and wash the cover on its own. Hand-wash, or use a gentle cold cycle, then dry it in the shade until it is completely dry before the filling goes back in. Skip high heat: it flattens the fibre and can shrink the cover. The pillow-and-blanket set is worth washing before its first use — it comes out softer than it went in.
The Original bed comes in two fabrics. The cushion and the filling inside are the same — the difference is the cover. Corduroy — soft to the touch and warm, in five colours that sit easily in a room. A good fit for pets that are already house-trained, and for air-conditioned homes. Water-repellent, dust-mite resistant — the fabric is specified as water-repellent, dust-mite resistant and 99.78% allergen-blocking. Worth choosing if anyone in the house has allergies, if your pet is still learning, or if they are a licker and a drooler.
